Leadership
In the spirit of Baptist beliefs around servant leadership, this ministry seeks to foster a community of learners dedicated to growing in Christ. This ministry provides opportunities for development, mentorship, and collaboration while nurturing leaders who faithfully serve our congregation and the wide community.
Deacons
According to 1st Timothy 3:8-13, the deacons of this church assist the pastor. While it is the pastor’s duty to pray for the needs of the church and oversee the internal ministry, deacons make themselves available to members for prayer and guidance to alleviate the workload of the pastor.
Trustees
According the laws of the state of Virginia someone must be held accountable for the property and financial matters of the church. The trustees Ministry of this church manages the material possessions and oversees the financial matters of the church with spiritual sensitivity. The churches physical property, financial obligations and all other assets are the responsibility of the Trustee’s Ministry.
Performing Arts
We believe that creativity is a gift from God. We use this gift to share the message of faith. Whether it's song, drama, or dance, the ministry offers a platform for individuals to find and use their talents to glorify God and inspire others.
Deaconesses
Women dedicated to assisting the Pastor & Pastor's wife in follow-up phone calls, cards, church brochures, and or emails to members and new members who have just joined NPVBC. We must find appropriate ways to show our members that we care.
Children's Church/Youth
Nuturing the spiritual growth of the next generation in an age appropriate way. We offer a safe and loving environment where children and youth can learn about God's love, explore the bible, and build a strong foundation of faith. Our dedicated team provides engaging activities, positive role models, and opportunities for your child to connect with other children in a Christ-centered atmosphere.
Associate Ministers
The Ministerial Team at NPVBC is under the leadership of the Pastor. They are responsible for helping to ensure the spiritual growth of the Church by assisting in worship services preaching, teaching, visitations, and other assigned duties as directed by the pastor. The goal is always to support the pastor and the vision and mission of the church and to bring people into the right relationship with God through Christ Jesus.
Doorkeepers & Ushers
A doorkeeper meets and greets people; they are God’s Public Relations Officers and represents the church to every visitor, first-timer a d members of the congregation he/she is to keep the door, meet the needs of the people and welcome them into the House of the Lord. Hebrews 13:2, “Do not neglect the hospitality of strangers”.
Technology & Innovation
The dedicated members play a crucial role in making service and other ministries function smoothly. We leverage technology to enhance the worship experience, streamline communication, and support various church activites. Join us in usuing your technical skills to serve God and the community!
Young Mother's Ministry
This group of mothers of generation Z and generation alpha tather to updlift one another, connect outside of motherhood, and make a positive impact on our communities. Events are workshop and social alike and also include women from other churches!
Women's Empowerment
A community of women who support, encourage, and challenge each other as we:
- Deepen our relationship with God through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship.
- Discover and develop our gifts to use in service to our church and community.
- Embrace our unique strengths as women and leaders.
- Navigate life's challenges with grace and resilience.
